This class combines one hour of mixed levels Slow Flow ParaYoga® with a half hour of Restorative Yoga.

ParaYoga®
ParaYoga®, one of the fastest growing styles of yoga in America, is based on the Six Gems©, ancient teachings that unlock "supreme" accomplishment in practice and life. ParaYoga® is rooted in ancient science. In fact, while doing a ParaYoga® practice you may not realize you're doing something special until the practice is over. That's often when we experience a quality of ease, enthusiasm, and fullness that helps to distinguish it from any other practice. ParaYoga® was founded by Yogarupa Rod Stryker and is an alchemy of many ancient teachings from both the Hatha and Classical styles of yoga and Ayurveda. All classes include chanting, pranayama and meditation, as well as sequenced set of asanas (poses) designed around a bhavana (theme) or intention.

Tanya is the only certified ParaYoga® teacher in Minnesota and one of the first in the world. Come check it out!

Restorative Yoga
This rapidly growing style of yoga is all about healing, relaxing, and taking care of oneself. In our busy world, our Western bodies have become used to running around, multi-tasking 24/7, and taking care of everyone in our lives, as we put ourselves last. Restorative Yoga uses a variety of props such as yoga bolsters, blankets, blocks and yoga straps to help us let go and relax. In this proces we reconnect to our para-sympathetic nervous system (responsible for our relaxation response), improving our ability to heal and nurture ourselves. All the organ systems of the body are benefited. New studies have measured that a regular Restorative Yoga practice may help reduce blood pressure, lower serum triglycerides and blood sugar levels (increasing good cholesterol too), balance horomones for women with periomenopausal symptoms and fertility issues, as well as aid in better digestion, elimination, relieving muscle tension, insomnia and overall fatigue. Come experience a little taste of heaven! No experience necessary.
