This class is the perfect place to continue practicing Vinyasa-style yoga. Learn traditional Hatha yoga poses that stretch and open the body such as Triangle, Warrior, Downward Dog, etc. while moving synchronistically with the breath. We'll also do sequences that strengthen the upper body, core, balance, and more. Practice meditation and breath techniques to help relax the mind and nervous system, and achieve balance. Rooted in Para Yoga, this class also helps students bring out their inner shining, or tejas, to help them grow not just in their physical practice, but also in improving the quality of their minds, emotions, rest and well being. What you will learn: • A variety of Sun Salutations & warm-ups • Classic yoga poses to help create flexibility while building strength • Breathwork, relaxation & meditation techniques • The benefits of a integrating a yoga practice into your daily life both on and off the mat The Result: • Feel better, breathe easier, and shape up • Gain confidence in your yoga practice • Prepare the body for intermediate yoga classes • Learn to begin to safely practice a simple yoga sequence on your own • Gain a deeper understanding of the connection between the mind, body, and spirit |
