Move beyond just asana with this Tantra-based Vinyasa class with a healthy dose of yoga philosophy, meditation, pranayama and more. Inspired by Tanya's Para Yoga (Tantra Hatha Yoga) studies with her teacher, Rod Stryker. Each week you will also learn effective pranayama, mudras, kriyas, and meditation techniques from to bring out your inner light, plus expand your knowledge of yoga philosophy by studying a passage from the Yoga Sutras and other relevant texts each week. Flow through a variety of Sun Saluations, standing, and seated poses at the pace and intensity of a challenging vinyasa class. We'll explore asana sequences such as Ashtanga's 1st-3rd Series, the Rocket (an Ashtanga-based potpourri), as well as samplings from Dharma Mittra's Shiva Namaskara and other inspiring gurus. Workshop several poses/techniques from the night's theme to help fine-tune more difficult aspects in your practice. Continue to explore poses such as Full Bridge Pose, Forearm Balance, Handstand and Headstand. Bring your requests! Cool down with twists and forward folds to help you relax and unwind.

By revisiting a specific challenging pose or theme every week, students can help see trouble areas and work through them by using breath, intention, and commitment to feeling "sthiram" (steadiness) and "sukham" (ease) during practice.
